One of the world's most renowned combat sports organizations is returning to Combate. September marks the comeback of GLORY to the channel's programming, expanding the lineup of premier fight events available to fans. The new agreement includes the broadcast of all GLORY events in 2026, including the organization's flagship event, COLLISION 10, scheduled for December 12, as well as all GLORY competitions in 2027. The partnership resumes this Saturday, September 5, with the live broadcast of GLORY 109. Combate will air the full fight card starting at 13:00, with commentary by Rhoodes Lima, Alex Gazé, and Marcos Luca Valentim.
The main event features Chico Kwasi and Teodor Hristov meeting for the third time in a rivalry that has been evenly matched so far. With one victory each in their previous encounters, the fighters will now compete for the GLORY Welterweight World Championship. A two-division champion, Kwasi will defend his title against the Bulgarian challenger.
Founded in 2012, GLORY has established itself as the leading organization in world kickboxing. Known for the elite technical level of its athletes and fast-paced, action-packed bouts, the promotion brings together top fighters across multiple weight divisions and hosts events around the globe. Among the Brazilians who have made their mark in the organization is São Paulo native Alex Pereira ("Poatan"), who captured both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles before transitioning to MMA.
